Management Experience
The Pipette Company has a team of directors who manage the business and supervise daily operations.
Three of the directors are respected practitioners of reproductive medicine who have published many
scientific papers on the laboratory and clinical aspects of micromanipulation techniques and IVF.
Dianna Payne is the Production Manager. Dianna was a senior embryologist in The University of Adelaide's Reproductive Medicine Unit from 1984-1998 and was responsible for the introduction and application of all micromanipulation techniques and the training of staff in these techniques. Dianna also organised hands-on micromanipulation training workshops in Australia, Singapore, Thailand and Japan. Dianna is renowned for time-lapse studies on the mechanisms of fertilization and embryo development.

Sean Flaherty is the Managing Director and Quality Manager. After completing a post-doctoral research fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, Sean was a senior scientist in The University of Adelaide's Reproductive Medicine Unit from 1988-1995 and Head of the Gamete Laboratories (Andrology and Embryology) from 1996-1998. Research interests include spermiogenesis, the acrosome reaction, mechanisms of fertilization and causes of fertilization failure, and aneuploidy in sperm and oocytes.

Johnathon Matthews is the Business Manager. A lawyer and economist, Johnathon commenced his career in the legal and finance sectors working at the Australian Treasury on microeconomic policy reform before moving to The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) where he was responsible for the ASX's relationship with over 100 listed companies. Immediately prior to joining TPC as an executive director, he worked as a corporate analyst in the institutional banking division of the Commonwealth Bank.

Colin Matthews is a non-executive director. Colin was Professor of Reproductive Medicine at The University of Adelaide from 1987-1998 and was elected Honorary Life Member of the Fertility Society of Australia in 1998, Honorary Life Member of ESHRE in 2001, and Emeritus Professor at The University of Adelaide in 2002. Colin is renowned for pioneering work on pre-implantation genetic diagnosis using single blastomeres, and his other research interests include male infertility and circadian physiology.
